Home inspectors throughout the country are constantly under pressure from various forms of business to sell to them private data about their home buying clients. Often, this information is used to pressure the home buyer into buying products and services through various forms of sales contacts. Some home inspection agreements are intentionally written with subtle language that, when the home buyer’s information is sold, the inspection agreement serves as a waiver to the home buyer’s right to protection from “no call†lists or other limitations or restrictions they may have made to avoid harassing sales calls.
For these reasons, home inspectors who value the privacy of their clients and who do NOT participate in the sale of their clients’ private information to third parties have publicly pledged not to. Home buyers who are looking for experienced and knowledgeable home inspectors will have the ability to distinguish those who will be selling or giving their private information to others from those who will not.
Greater Dayton Home Inspections has taken the "Client Fidelity Pledge." Participants in the Pledge agree to two things.
